The Particle Detective

Discover's "How-To Guide for Finding Subatomic Particles" is so awesome, and a great mini-overview of the history of particle detection. Handy timing, too, since the LHC is gearing up to produce sparticles, diquarks and leptoquarks (oh my!) by December, which would be landmark evidence of supersymmetry, everyone's favorite T.O.E. We likely won't get a glimpse of the Higgs before 2012, but excitement will certainly build if some of the supporting cast of SUSY make an appearance in the next few months. That is, if a cannibalistic supergalaxy doesn't consume us first...
